SCHEME OF EVALUATION FOR LKG AND UKG

There will be two terms in the Session.

TERM -I Comprises of Unit Test - 1 (20 marks) and Half-Yearly Examination (80 marks), Total Marks of Term-I will be 100 marks

TERM -II Comprises of Unit Test -2 (20 marks) and Annual Examination (80 marks), Total Marks of Term -II will be 100 marks

Unit Test-1 will be held in July, and Unit Test-2 will be held in January, .

Half-Yearly Examination will be held in September, and Annual Examination will be held in the month of March, .

The Result in the Report Card will be reflected in Marks and Grades.

The Result in the Report Card will be reflected in Marks and Grades.

SCHEME OF EVALUATION FOR Class VI to VIII

Students of Std VI-VIII will be assessed o n the basis of the following Tests/Exams:

  • SCHOLASTIC:  Term-I (100 marks)-20 marks for Periodic Assessment (Pre Mid Term) + 80 marks Half Yearly Exam.
  • Periodic Assessment will include Pen Paper Test of 5 marks in each subject, Portfolio sub miss ion of 5 marks , Subject enrichment activities of 5 marks and Multiple Assessment of 5 marks
  • Half Yearly Exam- Written Exam for 80 marks.
  • Each student has to score 33% of marks in each test.
  • Term-II (100 marks)-20 marks for Periodic Assessment (Post Mid Term) + 80 marks Annual Exam.
  • Periodic Assessment will include Periodic Test of 5 marks in each subject, Note Book submission 5 marks and Subject enrichment activities 5 marks.
  • Annual Examination - Written Exam of 80 marks covering syllabus as below:
  • Class VI- 10% of 1st term + entire syllabus of 2nd term.
  • Class VII - 20% of 1st term + entire syllabus of 2nd term
  • Class VIII - 30 % of 1st term + entire syllabus of 2nd term
  • CO-SCHOLASTIC: The activities to be assessed are Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education and Discipline.
  • Grades will be awarded by teachers on a three point grading scale.

SCHEME OF EVALUATION FOR IX –X:

Students of Std IX-X will be assessed on the basis o f the following Tests/Exams :

SCHOLASTIC::

  • For class X the Scholastic Area is divided into two parts - 80 Marks for Board Examination and 20 Marks (Internal Assessment). The CBSE Board will conduct examination for 80 marks in each of the Subjects - (Language 1, Language 2, Science, Mathematics and Social Science).

The Board paper will cover 100% Syllabus of each Subject in the Board Exam.:

For class X Board Examination - Written Exam of 80 marks, out of which 20 marks objective type questions (MCQ’s, fill in the blanks etc.) and 60 marks subjective type questions will be there. For Class IX the school will conduct both the exams.

  • The Internal Assessment of 20 marks will include: (a) Pen Paper Test (5 marks), (b) Portfolio Submission (5 marks) , (c) Subject Enrichment Activities (5 marks) , (d) Multiple Assessments (5 marks) . These marks will be added in the above 80 marks to make each paper of 100 marks.
  • There will be one Periodic Test before Mid -Term and one after Mid Term in each subject in an academic year. Average of the best of two out of three periodic Tests will be taken for addition in the Annual (Final) marks. The rubrics for Portfolio submission & Multiple Assessment are regularity; assignment completion; neatness & upkeep of notebooks.
  • The rubrics for subject enrichment activity are - Speaking & listening skills. (For Language 1 & 2), Practical Lab work (Science), Lab Practical (Mathematic s), Map & Project work (Social Science).
  • The 3 Co-scholastic activities to be assessed are: (a) Work Education, (b) Art Education, and (c) Health & Physical Education.
  • For the scholastic are as (Academics) both marks and grade will be awarded (on eight point Scale). For Co-Scholastic & Discipline grades will be awarded on a five point scale.
  • In Discipline the rubrics are - Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour & Values of the students.

CO-SCHOLASTIC:

  • The activities to be assessed are Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education and Discipline.
  • Grades will be awarded by teachers on five point grading scale.

SCHEME OF EVALUATION FOR XI - XII

Students of Std XI-XII will be assessed on the basis of the following Tests/Exams:

SCHOLASTIC:

  • First Unit Test of 50 marks and Mid Term & Pre Board Exam of 100 marks, each will be conducted in all six main subjects .
  • Home work/Class work to be assessed at least twice a month.
  • For class XII Board Examination - Compulsory portion of Internal Assessment/ Project Work/ Practical in all subjects of at least 20 marks will be there.

CO-SCHOLASTIC:

  • The activities to be assessed are Work Experience, General Studies, and Health & Physical Education.
  • Grades will be awarded by teachers in the above areas.

Coverage of Syllabus: (Class I to XII)

By 31st August, 50% of the syllabus (For Std. LKG to V) 60% of the syllabus (For Std. VI to XII)
By 30th November, 100 % of the syllabus (For Std. X & XII)
By 31st January, 50% of the syllabus (For Std. LKG to V) 40% of the syllabus (For Std. VI to IX & XI)
